• March 23-30, 2008:  Converted site to Traditional Characters, added links to Facebook. 
   
• January 9, 2008:  Set up new China and Russia pages.
   
• June 23, 2007:  Made minor changes on Russia, Hobbies and other pages.
   
• February 20-28, 2006:  Added Taiwan photo pages.
   
• January 25 2006:  Numerous minor upgrades of home page, including updated photo pages and resume.
   
• November 25 2005:  Added Uzbekistan Pages.   Expanded After the Soviet Union book sample page.
   
• May 23-25 2005:  Added Cambodia and Laos Pages.  Complete Overhaul of All Photos on Page. 
   
• December 21 2004:  Added Major Burma Photography Page.
   
• October, 2004:  Complete Overhaul of Home Page -- the largest single update since 1998.
   
• November 1-8, 2003: Added a preview page, including sample, a map and table of contents for my completed book, After the Soviet Union. 
   
• May 30, 2003: Added Chinese text and deleted obsolete e-mails and edited text. 
   
• September 9-11, 2002:  Added a 9-11 Memorial Page and a Writing Page, listing all recent publications.  Updated links and deleted obsolete materials.  Prepared for the inclusion of new materials. 
   
• November 17, 2001:  Did substantial maintenance on home page.  Fixed bad links and updated resume. 
   
• April 5, 2000:  Added photos from Russia from 2000 and 2001.
  
  
• January 4, 2000:  Added photos from New Year's in Red Square. and updated my Resume.
  
  
• December 29, 1999:  Added photos from Nankunshen Temple, Taiwan. and changed Travel Page to link with my own photos and descriptions instead of outside links (where possible). Started but later abandoned a Web-based journal.
   
• December 28, 1999:  Added photos from Turkey. and some old (but recently added) photos from Russia and the ex-USSR.
   
• December 26, 1999:  Added Marriage Page!
   
• December 17, 1999:  Updated links page with new hotlinks.
   
• December 10, 1999:  Added portfolio of photographs of the US and Europe.
   
• December 8, 1999:  Added photographs of Yeva, Russia and I under Recent Pages.
   
• August 25, 1998:  Added a Site Index so people can find their way around this page! 
   
• June 15 - August 20, 1998:  Began and my China and Hong Kong Travel Pages.
   
• June 10, 1998:  Began posting my Taiwan Travel Page.
   
• May 7, 1998:  Completed changes on my front page which included adding a description of my Chinese name chops.
   
• January 23, 1998:  Totally upgraded Home Page, including friends, TV, main, new and other pages.

 

Other Additions:

• I have updated my picture page (three times!) to include more recent photos of me and my environment in Washington DC and elsewhere.

 
• I have added a travel and photography page with my photos from my  photography collection.  More of my own pictures appear on-line in a special portfolio.

Other News:

• In honor of my entry to the Foreign Service on March 14, 1998, I added a link to the American Foreign Service Association, which is the umbrella association for all U.S. Foreign Service officers. 
   
• My China Trips:  I have been to 14 provinces, including the soon to be flooded Three Gorges in Sichuan and Henan Provinces.  Until I get something up, I found a wonderful site on the end of Three Gorges called Voyage of the Dammed.

 
• New Links:  I also have links to my friends' home pages.

 
• Other Travels:  Hopefully someday I'll have my narratives for the other trips I've taken...like to Russia, Israel, Jordan, Estonia, etc.  The first 170 photographs from China, Europe and Russia were my first on the web.  Others are being loaded, especially since I bought a slide scanner. 
   
• My Writing:  I finished my book on Russia and am still working on a book of philosophy along with another on politics -- and about 10 other projects.  Who knows when I'll get these done...at least I finished the Russia book...
